Dedicated to the memory of Sheila Anne Patston

This site is a tribute to Sheila Patston. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

HOPE" IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS -
THAT PERCHES IN THE SOUL - AND SINGS THE TUNE WITHOUT THE WORDS -
AND NEVER STOPS - AT ALL - AND SWEETEST - IN THE GALE - IS HEARD - AND SORE MUST BE THE STORM - THAT COULD ABASH THE LITTLE BIRD
THAT KEPT SO MANY WARM - I'VE HEARD IT IN THE CHILLEST LAND - AND ON THE STRANGEST SEA - YET - NEVER - IN EXTREMITY,
IT ASKED A CRUMB - OF ME.

Dear Mum, I love you more than words can ever say, miss our chats our love And most of all you My mum was beautiful, kind-hearted and loving, and she believed in God and hope. My mom had a rare combination of strength as well as a soft, insecure, timid, shy side,   “We remember the idea is not to live forever but to create memories  that will” Mums hold their children's hands for a while and their hearts forever. I never learned what the words 'I miss you' were until I reached for my mom's hand, and it wasn't there, but we will never forget In life, I loved you dearly; in death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place no one else ever will Instead of "funeral," we should use the term "celebration" because that is what our mom would have wanted. She would like us to celebrate all that she was. My mom welcomed everyone with an open heart and a delicious slice of cake or a bacon sandwich if you were lucky. She was elegant and stunning 62 years ago; she fell in love with a lovely cockney lad our Dad and true love triumphed Today, we remember what is essential, and that is love. My mom symbolises love; she is caring, thoughtful, and courageous. She loved all her family very much, and we all meant the world to her. Love is everything, and it has been with us through all the beautiful days, the dark days, the days when we feel lost, and the days when we need hope. Love is the only thing that can heal all wounds and free us. "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die." The boundaries between life and death are, at best, shadowy and vague. Who shall say where one ends and where the other begins? Mom, my first friend and our forever friend, we love you; your legacy lives on in the hope, the love and the memories that we all share. I miss you a little bit more every day, but knowing that a sea of love surrounds you always gives us strength. The love mom leaves behind lives on in our future, which everyone can see. "If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again." Sometimes, people rush to get rid of grief because they see it as hanging onto loss. But grief is really hanging onto, love-which is why you always feel it. So we’ve learned that grief really is just “true love.” Mom I was never ready for you to LEAVE. Oh if I could have one more day Love you Sam, Calvin and harry X
